Welcome to The Middle Space

Healthcare innovation doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It happens in the messy, brilliant middle — between strategy and implementation, between intention and outcomes, between what’s promised and what’s actually delivered.

I created this space to reflect on that middle.

My Story

After 20 years of moving between exam rooms, boardrooms, and startup sprints, I’ve come to realize that the biggest shifts in healthcare often begin with the smallest observations — a tension in a conversation, a workflow no one wants to touch, a patient who asks a better question than we do.

Our Story

Many of us — whether we’re founders, clinical leaders, product designers, or system thinkers are trying to make healthcare better, simpler, and more human. But the work is hard and progress often happens quietly, through nuance, context, and collaboration.

That’s what you’ll find here.

The Future

In The Middle Space, I’ll share grounded reflections, insights from the field, and practical lessons that emerge when people come together to do the real work of care. All drawn from experience — and shaped by what I’ve lived, what I’m still learning, and what continues to unfold in this work.

Thanks for being here. I hope you’ll stay a while.

Between now and next,

Mamata
